Another option might be using this js class from webfx:
http://webfx.eae.net/dhtml/xloadtree/xloadtree.html
try the demo link at the bottom of the page. At the moment I am using a very simple class to get the id, parent, name info out of the database and autogenerate the required js source file. I think either Wolfram's or Richard's classes could have a method added to deal with this.
cheers,
Demian

Alan Knowles wrote:Richard, I was looking at TreeMenu for building a file tree navigation (for a very large number of files - in a heavily nested filesystem) - obviously loading the whole tree up like the map_fs.php example would probably kill most browsers.. So I was wondering if the dynamic flag meant that when you expanded nodes (with children but not loaded on the page) it could either (a) refresh the page - or (b) pull the data into a iframe or something and add the data from there...well, my suggestion here might not be *the* solution. but what i am doing is put the tree in an external php-generated js-file, which is included and cached by the browser, so you only send a 304 when the tree has not changed (quite easy using HTTP_Header_Cache) might be an option for you Alan
