I can't reproduce this. I've PHP-GTk application which handles
multiple database connctions a) to different databases b) to the
same database (inc. mysql) at the same time and the don't
interfere each other.
If I remember correctly this was a problem with older PHP
version, proably before and possible including 4.0.6.
I've run a quick test and it works even with some old 4.0.6-dev
and a PEAR::DB version back from this time. About 10 mysql and
oracle connections and no problem.
