I was reading the documentation on DB_DataObject, and this looks like what I want, but a couple of questions. 1. Is there a way to create the schema file from an existing database? thats what createtables does for you. (along with making the skeletons for the classes.
2. I notice that in the documentation for AutoBuilding, the example given has the field named 'extra' as blob in the class, but the schema file lists it as type '2' (string). Is there a setting in the schema for blob or text, or even better is there a way to specify the max length of the string? not unless you want to add the code :)I've not had any use for blobs as yet.. - so it's just a matter of determining how to deal with them.. there is scope to add more types to the code - the types are a bitwise and defined at the top of the DataObject.php file. Although I've not really explored pear DB's handling of blobs.. Regards Alan
