The plan in the long run is to have that kind of documentation.
Unfortunately it takes a lot of time to write doc, and time is precisely
what many people are lacking. There is a big effort on documentation, but
still a lot to do.

Windows support in indeed bad, there are many problems due to the platform
itself and the it handles things. Anyway, it should get better as time goes.
