pear install DB installs beta not stable

How do I install the stable version of DB (1.3)? When I use pear install DB it install DB-1.4b
[node16f98:~] root# pear install DB
this command installs the last version (1.4b), not the last stable version (1.3)
this while
[node16f98:~] root# pear config-show
...
| Preferred Package State | preferred_state | stable |... Though I mention this cuase it might be a bug? I'm on OSX Server, with PHP 4.3.2RC1 for those of you with the same issue, to install a version you want download it first [node16f98:~] root# pear download DB-1.3.tar File DB-1.3.tar downloaded (387072 bytes) [node16f98:~] root# pear uninstall DB uninstall ok: DB [node16f98:~] root# pear install DB-1.3.tar install ok: DB 1.3
