Hi,
I'm using the packet Cache to save db-generated lists. There are many lists
with different parameters, so I'm getting many cache-files (using the
file-container).
And that's my problem. There are many files in one directory and many read
and write operations so that linux is getting a performance problem (at
least it seams to).
We have upgraded our ram to 1gig, so that there's more buffer for linux.
I don't know how to improve that or what the problem espacially is. Does any
one has the same problems or some ideas with that.
is it a problem that with each expire-check the file has to be opened or
should the mtime be checked instead.
Or is it good to turn of the the atime-refresh of this partition?
Thanks in advance.
Matthias
