Haven't checked yet. But, are your user name and password (etc.) valid? Can you connect via the mysql client with the user name and password, and run queries on the database in question? Can you connect and query via the php mysql_xxxx() functions? Are there any strange characters in either the user name or password? (I have had problems with a mixed-case user name.) -- Joel Rees <joel@alpsgiken.gr.jp>
