Does pear need pear.ini on freeBSD? If it does, how do I generate it,
seeing as the go_pear script doesn't seem to do it?
I was able to use go_pear with a little hand-editing to the generated
pear.ini to get pear running (apparently running, anyway) on MSW2k. But
I couldn't find any pear.ini after running go_pear on freeBSD.
Two more questions --
Is it preferable to keep two separate copies of pear under *NIX, one for
the command-line tool and one for mod_php?
And, freeBSD tries to install pear for me underneath the php source
install. How hard is it likely to be to get it to work that way?
A RTFriendlyM would be appreciated if I'm just missing something.
