QuickForms can't get date element values

$form->addElement('date', 'test', 'Tarikh');
var_dump($form->getElementValue('test'));
It's supposed to return an array, but it returns NULL
var_dump($_GET['test']);
Confirms that test is an array with values for [d], [M] and [Y].
Am I doing something wrong? getElementValue for text, textarea elements
work fine.
