Um, do you have PEAR installed? php.ini extension have nothing to do
with PEAR, some PEAR stuff might rely on extensions but if you don't
have PEAR you don't have DB. Try typing 'pear' on the command line and
see if you get a list of args, if you do, try 'pear list-installed' or
something similar, it has changed frequently with the different versions
of PEAR.

Subject: [PEAR] Apache & Pear_DB problem
ARRRGGHHH!!!
I'm using PEAR DB and trying to open a connection from my main Linux web
server running Apache 2.0.40 to my DB server (MySql Winblows version)
and am getting the DB error:
DB Error: extension not found
I checked the php.ini and uncommented the line 'extension=mysql.so' on
the Apache machine. Am I missing something else important?? MySql has
been running on my DB machine for 2 months now without a hickup and I've
accessed it from MS Access without a problem.
