I downloaded, installed, and tested the NNTP class v1.14 . (FWIW, I had to use sourceforge to find it, the .tar inside Net_NNTP_0.1.tgz was corrupt on pear.php.net.) When I got it working, it displayed the news.php.net (demo files) fine, but when I put in my real newsserver string, usrname & pwd, it fails on groups.php - Net/NNTP.php - getOverview() - I believe in the _getData() method... I turned on $nntp->set_debug() right after instance creation in groups.php and added // DEBUGGING if ($this->_debug) { print ">> $line\n"; flush(); } at line 417 of NNTP.php, after the code $line=trim(fgets($this->fp, 256)); anyway here's what I'm getting... >> LIST OVERVIEW.FMT << 215 Order of fields in overview database. >> Subject: >> From: >> Date: >> Message-ID: >> References: >> Bytes: >> Lines: >> Xref:full >> . >> XOVER 118-127 << 224 data follows >> . >> XROVER 118-127 << 500 What? Warning: Argument to array_reverse() should be an array in c:\apache\htdocs\dev\nntp\group.php on line 64 Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in c:\apache\htdocs\dev\nntp\group.php on line 65 >> QUIT << 205 . FWIW, _getData() is returning NULL. Looks like my newsserver doesn't support XROVER ... but also it looks like the one of the first characters in the XOVER is '.' which breaks out of the loop to append lines to the message array. If I comment out the break within _getData(), the script just hangs (with a spinning globe) indefinately. Any ideas?
