I've read the "Creating Extensions" section, and I'm stuck on what is
probably a simple C question.
'make' produces this:
ext/u2/u2.lo: In function `zif_ic_opensession':
/usr/php-4.3.1/ext/u2/u2.c:200: undefined reference to `ic_opensession'
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make: *** [sapi/cli/php] Error 1
The manual says "The only problem that could arise is that the compiler
will complain about missing definitions or something similar. In this
case, make sure that all header files are available and that you
specified their path correctly in the compilation command."
That's where I'm stuck. I could probably figure it out if I were using
gcc directly, but I don't know how to tell the buildconf/configure
scripts what they need to know to find the intcall.h file living in
/usr/unishared/icsdk. At least, I'm pretty sure it's a missing header
file producing that error.
Or do I just copy all the stuff in that header file into the php_u2.h
file that ext_skel created for me?
I think this should be an easy extension, I'm just trying to create a
wrapper around an existing C library. (InterCall, provided by IBM to
access their UniVerse/UniData databases.) Unfortunately I'm far more
familiar with Java and UniData than C and PHP.
Can anyone help me past this sticking point? Thanks in advance!
