Hello,
I am trying to find out if pear can be of help in the development of my future projects. Now
I'm not a dummy, in fact I have a bachelors degree in computer science, and years of experience
developing PHP, but I have no idea of how to get it working.
To try and find out how it works I thought I could use the PEAR packages also available from your
selection of packages. Since it didn't work at all (error after error) I decided to read the
documentation on how to install... Nice documentation, but it doesn't help one bit. I am sure
that when you've done this a hundred times it is easy, but to me the explanation wasn't
clear at all...
So my question is, how do I get the pear(frontend web) package working?? I assumed it will make
something like the site I downloaded the packages from, but I can't get it working.... (I know
about the dependencies, and I included those packages, but I probably didn't do that right
either)
I think my problem lies in the location off all files within the directorie structure, and also that
structure itself could be wrong. Perhaps updating documentation, and showing some file location
examples would be a good idea?)
Thanks for the help so far,
Ruud Walraven
