Hi all,
i'm trting to install pear on a debian system and i run into a problem (must be stupid...).
as i couldn't install the pear package manager thanks to the online script (when i run lynx
-source http://go-pear.org | php i got the following error : bash:
php: command not found)
I've installed php4-pear thanks to apt-get
The problem is that when i go into the pear install directory (which is /usr/bin) and i run pear i
got the following error :
bash: /usr/bin/pear: /usr/bin/php4: bad interpreter: Aucun fichier ou répertoire de ce type (file
not found in english)
which is normal since php4 is installed in this directory : /usr/lib/php4
I've tried to create a link to the php4 install folder in the /usr/bin/ folder like this : ln
-s /usr/lib/php4 php4 but it still fails with the following error : bash: /usr/bin/pear:
/usr/bin/php4: bad interpreter: Permission non accordée (permission denied)
what can i do?
Is there something i can change in the pear file to make it work?
Thanks
Gregory
