I have a quick question that hopefully someone can help me with and save me
from some flames :).
I've been following and using PEAR for a while now, mostly in my own
projects and also in some small work projects. I haven't used it in a while,
mostly because of other work, but I have been following this list with some
attention.
Now on to my question. Just where in the hell do I download and use PEAR
now? And yes I have seen and noticed the pear and php4/pear cvs trees, but
I still don't get it. In the past, I would just cvs down the latest
php4/pear tree and of to work I went. But now I see that there are classes
in both pear/ and php4/pear and that some of the classes that I want are in
pear and not php4/pear.
So what is one to do? Treat me like a newbie. If I wanted to get started
with PEAR right now, and with all its classes and features, what do I have
to download in order to do so?
I'm about to start on a new project and I would like to make use of many of
the functions that already exist in pear. Any help would be greatly
appreciated.
Thanks,
John
