I used myself PEAR 1.1 under windows XP with PHP 4.3.2
You can get Pear package here:
http://pear.php.net/package-info.php?pacid=14
latest version is 1.1 since 2003-05-10
untar content in your PEAR subdirectory where you should have only :
file-> go-pear.php
dir-> go-pear-bundle
if it's a recent php install (4.3.2 for windows)
launch go-pear.php and follow instruction : take care to change
configuration as asked
After that, all should be operationnal, and you will appreciate power of
WebInstaller (package manager)
