Hi!
I use PEAR under IBM OS/2 platform and I would say about some minor troubles on this way.
Basically, PEAR under OS/2 works (and install) like under Windows, but with following exceptions (I
made this changes on my
workplace):
1. go-pear and PEAR itself: define('WINDOWS', (substr(PHP_OS, 0, 3) == 'OS/'));
Note: In order to PEAR Bootstraping, I must to add pause into go-pear after PEAR download and made
this change "on the fly".
2. PEAR/System, function mktemp:
change
$tmp = tempnam($tmpdir, $prefix);
to
$tmp = $tmpdir.DIRECTORY_SEPARATOR.$prefix.md5(uniqid(rand(),1));
$tmpfp = fopen($tmp,"w+");
if(!$tmpfp) {
return System::raiseError("Unable to create temporary file or directory $tmp");
} else {
fclose($tmpfp);
}
because "tempnam" function don't work properly under OS/2
3. Last but not least: Note, that under OS/2 PHP.INI installs into <bootdrive>:/MPTN/ETC
directory by default.
Vale!
