PearDB/Pager - Duplicate record problem

I'm using the Pear Pager to generate data from ODBC (MS Acess DB), but for
some reason I always get a duplicate first record.
(I'm using manual "$numrows" and no error checking as advised - The only way
I could get it to work).
Any help or ideas on what might cause this would be much appreciated.
