I will try ;) So my own method for current cvs PECL/phpdoc on a linux box : 1) First check to have the right tools (versions could be meaningfull) : - automake 1.4 - libtool 1.4.2 - autoconf 2.13 2) Get php 4.1.0 source 3) Get from cvs PECL/phpdoc source and put the whole phpdoc dir in ext/ (in php source tree) 4) Then modify Zend/zend_language_scanner.c file and comment or remove for this 3 functions the keyword 'static' : - save_lexical_state - restore_lexical_state - prepare_string_for_scanning 5) Then modify ext/phpdoc/phpdoc.c file and remove the 'zend_' prefix from the following functions calls : - zend_restore_lexical_state - zend_prepare_string_for_scanning - zend_save_lexical_state (4 modifications in whole file, mostly at bottom) 6) at top from php source tree launch : $ ./buildconf $ configure [your-classical-options] --enable-phpdoc $ make # make install 7) check if all is right with simple phpinfo HTH :) -- Olivier
