On a RH 8.0 system, I am building Apache 2.0.44 and PHP 4.3.1 from source.
The systems work. I can connect to postgresql from php and from PEAR::DB.
But I do not have a "pear" executable and
find / -name pear -ls
finds none anywhere.
Can someone help understand why pear isn't being built and what the best way for me to get pear is?
Thank you,
Jerry Asher
I configure php 4.3.1 as follows:
./configure \
--with-apxs2=/usr/sbin/apxs \
--with-mysql=/ \
--prefix=/usr \
--enable-track-vars \
--enable-force-cgi-redirect \
--disable-cgi \
--with-zlib \
--with-gettext \
--with-gdbm \
--with-oci8 --with-pgsqlI configure apache 2.0.44 as follows: ./configure \ --enable-so \
--enable-mods-shared=all \--enable-suexec --with-suexec \ --with-suexec-docroot=/var/www \ --with-suexec-logfile=/var/logs/httpd/suexec.log \ --with-suexec-bin=/usr/sbin/suexec \ --with-suexec-uidmin=500 --with-suexec-gidmin=500 \
--with-ssl --enable-ssl \--enable-proxy --enable-proxy-connect \ --enable-proxy-http --enable-proxy-ftp \
--enable-layout=RedHatand from the apache config.layout, ... # Red Hat Linux 7.x layout <Layout RedHat>
