Thanks for the tip James. I changed it and it seems to be working fine. I'll continue to use it this way and see if it stays 'stable'. I would guess this is a problem on DB's side of the connection because when I originally used Oracle connections I was using regular php functions to connect and do work and I always used a persistant connection with no problems. Do you think by turning of the persistant connection that my tools will be less efficient or become slower? I'm going to play around with it to see if our Admin will call me up and tell me to quit what I'm doing :) haha... Thanks again!
