Exactly,
it would be a nice for an application developer that use MerlinWork to
have the fields automatically formatted based on their own type.
This could be done instancing the data source from a table or a custom
query:
$dbs =& new DB_SOURCE('dbs_id');
//custom way
$dbs->set_select_query('SELECT etc..etc..');
//oo way
$dbs->set_table('tab_test');
$dbs->set_fields('field1');
$dbs->add_join('blah blah');
etc...
If (in normal case) we have the right type configured than we can speed
up development phase.
Obviously this feature can be overridden.
