I have done PHP port to the library called gmime.
With gmime you can use gpg to encode attachments.
But I have no time to finish documentation for gmime in phpdoc
- it is very time-consuming, since there are plenty of functions
to describe in XML.
The problem with gmime is that it is GPL'ed (not LGPL),
then using it with PHP could break the license.
Could someone answer me:
- if using dynamically loaded gmime.so PHP module with PHP breaks the GPL too?
- is it enough that author of the gmime package would write
'I allow to use gmime with PHP', and what are the consequences for the author?
If you wish I can send you archives to compile and test.
It is unofficial source, since it was not yet published.
gmime C library is available at http://spruce.sourceforge.net/gmime/sources/
I have done gmime Perl module (MIME::Fast) some time ago,
and have report from te user that it is stable and works fast.
