I can successfully connect via DB using the following code:
$cbDSN = "mysql://me:mypass@unix(:/tmp/mysql.sock)/dbname";
$cbDB = DB::connect("$cbDSN");
if (DB::isError($cbDB)) {
die ($cbDB->getMessage());
}
But when I try this with MDB all I get is "MDB Error: connect failed"
$cbDSN = "mysql://me:mypass@unix(:/tmp/mysql.sock)/dbname";
$cbDB=&MDB::connect($cbDSN);
if (MDB::isError($cbDB)) {
die ($cbDB->getMessage());
}
I have tried removing the semi-colon from the socket path.
I have tried with and without the ampersand on on line 2.
I have tried all combinations of the above.
I know the DSN info is good and I think the DSN format is good. I have the
latest version of MDB.
What am I doing wrong?
