I've been attempting, with a little success, to use the 'file' element for
QuickForm. Just a couple of queries:
1) I've noticed the documentation (such as it is) says that the upload
functions are depreciated. Should I use some other method to upload and
manipulate the file? Is there a PEAR class that replaces these functions?
2) I've attempted to add a rule to the file element:
$form->addElement('file', 'xls_file', 'File:');
$form->addRule('xls_file', 'You must select a file', 'required');
but it doesn't work - it doesn't warn if no file has been selected using
Browse. Is there another way to do this?
3) Does anyone know of a example of how the file functions work? I've
scanned the internet to no avail.
Any help would be appreciated.
