Two days ago I started taking a deeper look into DataObject - despite [1] is suggesting otherwise I had problems getting my scheme autogenerated by createTable.php. After doing a little bit of investigation I came to attribute it to a missing mssql_fields_flags function - in the most recent DB version (DB-1.5.0RC1, which I'm using) is no workaround implemented so DataObject has no way of knowing whether the current field is a primary key. I made a small hack to achieve just that but I'm unsure if this there is no other way around this problem? Is [1] plain wrong or is there a misunderstanding on my side?
It's not wrong, it's simply information based on a quick and dirty test: <cite> I haven´t tested it excessively (yet!), but some quick tests have shown that DO seems to be MSSQL-compatible. Classes are being generated correctly from the datasource. Fetching data works as well. </cite> Everything I have written back then is absolutely true. But I did not check any further, otherwise I would have noticed that the keys are indeed not being recognized, thus not ending up in the .ini file. If you would post your code for the hack you're speaking of, there is a chance the maintainers of the DB package will review it and put it into the regular package if they think it's good.
