Are you sure that the fault is within DB? Did you try to use another
method, like MDB or mysql_* functions built in to PHP? Or, if that
fails, try Java or Perl connectivity.
This happens on PostgreSQL DB and I already tried the connectivity via PHP built-in mechanisms. Besides I use pgAdmin and it works fine on any size of data.
