Which PEAR is correct

One of my daily routines is to do a CVS update of PEAR and php4, and this
morning I saw that the pear/Mail/mime.php has changed in the php4 branch but
NOT in the PEAR.
Now, the version of mime.php in php4 have version // $Id: mime.php,v 1.12
2002/02/10 08:50:13 hirokawa Exp $, and the one in pear have // $Id:
mime.php,v 1.15 2002/02/10 00:44:58 chregu Exp $
My question is - as one before on the list - which PEAR is the
latest/correct and why are the 2 branches different ?
