Image_GIS no drawing

Anyone having this problem. I can create the image without any errors, but
for some reason the program will no draw any colors or lines to the image.
Here is some test code I was attempting to use:
<?php include('Image/GIS.php'); ?>
<?php
// create new map
$map = new Image_GIS(960, 1280);
$map->addDataFile('T8_83.E00', 'black');
$map->setRange(0, 0, 0, 0);
$map->showImage();
?>
