Hi,
we have just completed the integration of Pear::DB into a rather large
software product. The one thing that has yet to be ported is Fulltext
searching. So far we have used MySQL's features in that regard, but of
cause database abstraction does not make sense if you then use
database-dependent features.
Question: is there, or are there plans for abstracting differnet
databases' fulltext search features? I know how compliate this might be
because of the different approaches the dbs take to fulltext searching,
but it would be rather useful.
