I'm trying to get the command line PEAR to work with Mac OS X 10.2.
I downloaded PHP 4.3.3 and did the standard installation:
./configure --with-axps --with-mysql=/usr/local/mysq
make
sudo make install
This installs PEAR into /usr/local/lib/php and some commands into /usr/local/bin/
I added /usr/local/bin/ to my path:
vi ~/.tcshrc
set path = ( $path /usr/local/bin )
now the pear command seems to be available.
pear by itself on the command line prints the list of commands.
However, I get the following errors...
pear list
could not create lock file: failed to open stream: Permission denied
pear list-all
pear-database.php:543: Notice: Undefined index: radius
When I su root, the pear list command will work, but pear list-all gives the same error.
while I was logged in as root, I did a
pear update-all
and that seemed to work ok.
So, I was just wondering if there was something I was missing in my configuration/setup?
