Hi everybody
I know PEAR is in a beta phase and it is a great work, here are only
positive remarks and some questions:
First) package Installer seems a little bit confusing I don't understand how
to indicate to the installer where to place the package for example in
/usr/local/apache/lib where have I to indicate this path ?
Second) Some packages seems corrupted and the packages presentation seems
different from a package to another. IMHO Auth is correct but system file for
example has to be compliant with no ?
About corrupted files I find out that le direct link to the last release
[download latest] works you have to do :
> gunzip PacKage.targz
> tar xvf PacKage.tar
and you will find the PacKage.php file inside the PacKage directory and I
move or copy it in /usr/local/apache/lib/Package/PacKage.php. I make that for
two packages Auth and Net_CheckIP, the naming is self explanatory (look to
the exemple)
On the other hand I try donwload from direct links to release packages, all
the files are corrupted.
Thanks for your work
Marcel
