XML_RPC, which implementation?

Ok, PEAR::XML_RPC is in the repository and is not well documented but seems to work just fine. Then there is the XML_RPC PHP extension but the documentation says it is 'EXPERIMENTAL'.
The obvious question is, which should I be using?
