Hi!

Well, yes. If the action is bound to the submit button (unlike 'display' or 'process') then its handler has to save the values in container and (probably) perform the validation.I don't quite see the problem here. Create your own action handlers with form validation logic, add them via addAction() with any names you like, bind them to buttons via getButtonName(). Am I missing something?I am missing something ... I don't know how to get validation in the Action (as process does it without my notice) and I still don't know whether the validation is the whole difference between 'submit'-bound-action and others.
Now I guess that's it. For the custom-Buttons: Do I use Action-Objects or still Action_Suibmit?I don't get you here. You can name the actions any way you want, as for what class to extend, there is no real use in extending Action_Submit if you are going to rewrite its perform() method.
