Spoke to soon there - validation does appear to be working, but the array
generated and passed to my template doesn't contain any indication that an
element in the 'postcodeGroup' is required.
An extract of the array which is passed to my Smarty variable follows (taken
from Smarty {debug} window)...
3 => Array (9)
name => postcodeGroup
value => Array (1)
postcode => WA13 0EL
type => group
frozen =>
label => Postcode
required =>
error => empty
separator => empty
elements => Array (2)
0 => Array (8)
name => postcodeGroup[postcode]
value => WA13 0EL
type => text
frozen =>
label => empty
required =>
error => empty
html => <input size="25" maxlength="10" tabin...
1 => Array (8)
name => postcodeGroup[help]
value => empty
type => static
frozen =>
label => empty
required =>
error => empty
html => <a class="helpLink" href="?"><img src...
"postcodeGroup[postcode]" should have its required set to true, surely? -
based on the addGroupRule() I set earlier?
Maybe I'm just going cuckoo at this hour in the morning.
Regards,
mike
