install PEAR in different path

Hi all. 1st - sorry , english is not my native language Im trying install PEAR in a different directory , not in /usr/local/lib/php ,cuz i dont have permissions and my scripts must be portable.They must run in machines that dont have PEAR intalled. I need the HTML_TEMPLATE_IT and DB. Ok, now the problem. I download both packages. Both packages need PEAR.php , i copy it to the same dir of IT.php and BD.php. After this the HTML_TEMPLATE_IT works fine but DB dont. I tested a php script that uses DB package in a machine with PEAR installed and works perfect !!! But in my machine that script dont and dont produce any error !!! only a blank page. Why ?? DB need more "foreing" files ?? PS: I only need the HTML_TEMPLATE_IT and DB packages!!! I dont want couple my scripts with _ALL_ PEAR packages. Thanks for any help!
