Thanks for that very important hint to use -beta/alpha!
That was new to me because in former versions
PEAR made no difference between the state!?
But I hope the "Fatal Errors" will be replaced by
useful hints?
Ok, now I tried to install the latest beta of LiveUser,
but I got a
"bad md5sum for file /usr/share/pear/LiveUser/LiveUser.php"
What now?

because the installer behaves weirdly you have to do
pear install -f liveuser
You can also try this pre-release/use-at-your-own-risk
