hello everyone,
I would like to realize a 3-page entity for managing complex records
(info, list of attached files, etc.) representing press releases.
First page would contain a list of the records, sorted by date. Each
row entry would be composed of be a link (this is the point) leading
to page 2, detailing the item corresponding to the link, and a
"preview" link showing the current rendering of the item.
Second page would contain some editable properties of the record,
indexed by id.
Third page would contain file upload and file list management for this
record/press release.
I think that the best way to do it is to use the
HTML_QuickForm_Controller framework, creating the set of three pages
as separate instances of QuickForm_Page , etc.
My problem comes in finding out which is the best way to make the
transition from first page (the list) to the second / third one. I
cannot find examples in docs, tutorials or ML archive and I would not
want to add a separate submit button to each row. I'd like to have the
links implement the 'jump' or 'next' actions.
The best I've come up is making the link call $PHP_SELF, look into
$_REQUEST for some GET fields containing the id of the item and
whether to load 2nd page or not, then making a
$pag = $controller->getPage('page2');
$pag->handle('jump');
but I am not sure of the robustness and quality of this.
Can any old wolf help please? :)
