Adding a few pixels of margin to (for instance) the right side of a SELECT element should come out fine in any browser, and probably will not cause problems with other SELECT elements which don't need the padding. e.g: select {I really like the select boxes that QF-date can generate but ... I would like to have some space between them Is that possible? I checked the source but it seems there is no field to put something in betwen the select boxes. Is it still possible? Maybe with templates? Or CSS?Only solution I can currently think of is using templates, yeah. Have a look at those template-functions available for QuickForm. Using CSS for this purpose seems more like a hack to me :-) - and propably doesn't result in same effect on all browsers.
margin-right: 3px;} Or if you have the elements are child elements of any element with an id or class attribute you can use that to specify style more specifically e.g. (using a div with class="demo") div.demo select {
margin-right: 3px;} alternatively use a class attribute on the relevant selects e.g. (where the class of the select is 'dateselector') .dateselector {
margin-right: 3px;} And just to make sure I checked the following HTML in the browsers listed below (you do know that you can run multiple versions of IE on a single machine don't you ;-): IE 6 IE 5.5 IE 5.01 IE 4 Mozilla 1.5 Netscape 7.1 Opera 7.11 ---- <html> <head> <title></title> <style type="text/css"> select {
margin-right: 10px;} </style> </head> <body> <form>
<select><option value="shit">shitty<option></select><select><option value="demo">demo<option></select></form> </body> </html> regards, Jochem
