Hi Mark,
use pear config-set preferred_state beta
or
pear install OLE-beta

I'm wondering how you can install a PEAR module which is not in stable form using the PEAR installer. On my MacOS X installation (PHP4.3.4) the packages seem to install without an issue, e.g. % pear install OLE But on another linux box, with the same version of PHP, the installer complains that there is not a stable version of the module and wont install it. Is there a setting somewhere which I can use to simply use the pear installer to install the required modules rather than downloading them and doing a manual installation? Also, is there something I've changed on one of the machines to stop this from working on one of them? TIA, Mark -- Mark Mitchenall mark@mitchenall.com mark@standingwave.co.uk
