The existing stuff of Crypt_CHAP is very stable, the reason why it's alpha
is, that not all stuff for a complete CHAP implementation has been
integrated.
The next problem is that I accidentally choosed wrong classnames, i.e.
Crypt_CHAP == abstract base class
Crypt_CHAP_MD5 == MD5 CHAP => nameing ok
but
Crypt_MSCHAPv1 doesen't fullfill the PEAR requirements it has to be
Crypt_CHAP_MSv1
The next thing is that Crypt_CHAP relys on the CHAP_DES.php stuff, wich
doesen't follow any PEAR standard.
My proposal would be, releasing 1.0beta with these changes:
- get rid of CHAP_DES.php, use the mcrypt stuff instead.
- cleanup classnames
My problem: no time,
patches welcome ...
bye,
