All you need to do is check the permissions of the /var/lib/pear/rest/ directory at pear.php.net. The r/ directory is probably not 0777, and it must be. Also, when new directories are created within r/, they must be chmod 0777, and any bug would be in pear-rest.php. Good luck, GregHeya: Went to upgrade to 0.1.6 of PHP_Beautifier but got the following error: C:\PROGRA~1\pear>pear upgrade PHP_Beautifier-beta pear/PHP_Beautifier can optionally use PHP extension "bz2" downloading PHP_Beautifier-0.1.4.tgz ... Starting to download PHP_Beautifier-0.1.4.tgz (39,830 bytes) ..........done: 39,830 bytes ERROR: upgrade to a newer version (0.1.4 is not newer than 0.1.5)So does anyone feel responsible for this bug ATM? I think its critical that we get this bug fixed within the week. Yes its alpha software, but this is seriously hurting this testing phase and causing a major inconvinience for our testers. If all else fails I will try to sit down at LinuxTag and will try and fix this myself (though I will need someone with karma to pearweb and the pear box I presume).
