Image_Color in Siberia?

I've just finished reading the Orphaned packages RFC (http://pear.php.net/pepr/pepr-proposal-show.php?id=192) and it seems to me that Image_Color meet the orphan criteria. There are two--though relatively minor--bugs that have been open for more than two months [1] and the owner is somebody who is known to be inactive [2] [3]. I'm willing to maintain the package. I've already submitted a patch [4] that improves the in line documentation and corrects several CS violations.
