Hello,
While working on tests for different packages, I remember we have to
discuss about tests things in PEAR/PECL.
PECL follows obvioulsy phpt. PEAR does not have standart things for now.
I would like to get the tests skeletons and outputs defined before the
summer break.
I think that we should use phpUnit as a base. Then define the way we
can port phpt (if this is even possible to pear) or create something
new.
Some requirements:
- tests name standare (i.e. bug12345.abct)
- standart outputs
- ready to be run on install by the maintainers or the QA team
- or using pear run-test packagename
- a system "a la" php to mail result to the qa list or to the
maintainers
I'm not an expert in tests infrastructures, so take this list with
caution :). This is a start of a discussion.
