There is another problem:
Upgrading a package does not work:
$ pear list
QA_Peardoc_Coverage 0.4.0 beta
$ pear upgrade QA_Peardoc_Coverage-1.0.1.tgz
Ignoring installed package pear/QA_Peardoc_Coverage
Nothing to upgrade
$ pear upgrade -f QA_Peardoc_Coverage-1.0.1.tgz
upgrade ok: channel://pear.php.net/QA_Peardoc_Coverage-1.0.1
So forcing upgrade works, but upgrading to a higher version is detected
as not needed.
