Notification of Intent to maintain Net_SMS

Everyone, Following the instructions here: http://pear.php.net/manual/en/newmaint.takingover.php and having spoken with Chuck Hagenbuch and Jan Schneider, I would like to announce my intention to take over development of Net_SMS. I develop PHP applications for a living, and I have been doing so for about 7 years. For the 15 years prior to that, I wrote in C. I contribute to numerous open source projects, and am one of the maintainers for phpESP (phpesp.sourceforge.net) and the SMS-related projects in Horde (horde.org). I use text messaging in several of my applications, but moreover I feel there is a solid need for the PHP open source community to have a robust text messaging API. I believe Net_SMS is the established way to do that, and so I would like to see it evolve. Thank you, bishop PS: I already have PEAR and PHP CVS accounts; my username for both is "bishop".
