I've been keeping it ticking over a little with unit tests from a QA
perspective, but no, it is not maintained.
Todo:
Deal with the open patches/get a release out the door soon.

If you've got patches you can contribute for features or bugfixes, that'd be
neat - it'll let us get a feel for your coding style; which is the best way
to get us on board.
Grab a copy from svn, run the tests and see if there is anything broken
there; then add in your patches.
If you've got fixes for any of:
http://pear.php.net/bugs/search.php?cmd=display&package_name[]=Net_DNS&status=OpenFeedback&bug_type=Bugs;
sing out
After we've had a bit of a look (and have your pear username etc) we can
move things forward.
