Tried the latest 4.x-snap (from 1:30 GMT) and 5.x (from 23:30 GMT) on
win32. .
For 4.x-snap all went fine, except a few minor things:
- PHPUnit 0.6.2 is still downloded though 1.0.0 is bundled
- if you remove the bundled packages altogether and install
getopt.php will be fetched from CVS directly instead of taken from
the console_getopt-package (that is, if needed, being downloaded in a
step before)
Pierre already confirmed to address these minor things soon.
For 5.x-snap:
- The old getopt.php is still shipped, which prevents pear from being
installed at all. This was already mentioned some time ago, and I
think according to Pierre should be adressed in the next snap.
- PEAR and Archive_Tar are installed from remote (downloaded), even
though they are bundled. I guess this will also already be solved
with the next snap.
For both snaps:
Installing, upgrading, deleting, listing of local and remote packages
etc. went fine for me. Seems fine, imho. For php 5.x we should surely
check out the next snap which will contain Pierre's latest updates.
