Nope, that's true.

Each menu item is separated by " | " So, not only are there
two spaces, there's a "|" in there as well. File a bug with the
browser authors.

On the PEAR website when you view a package page with a text browser
like "links" the navigation bar for that package looks like one word
due to missing spaces in the HTML source between the A tags.
