One day, I read and closed 10 bogus bugs on phpDocumentor, and we jumped from #2000 to ranked #200, but I didn't see any spike in downloads or other stuff, so I think we might want to consider a more useful measure of activity :) GregFirman Wandayandi wrote:On 10/18/06, David Coallier <davidc@php.net> wrote:I agreed with David again. It would be great, but we should be take a look at the query, since the package-stats query is so heavy. I think this stuff related, so consider about it before implementing it.Sure, I think those are a great idea, we could even have a popular meter on the main page if the query is not too heavy or on each page we could have something like stars or something rating the package.Actually, with the new changes, the package stats query is quite light. I get instant performance on my machine, which is a good indicator of how it will work remotely - believe me, I have been crunching stats queries for a long time over the past 3 days :)Alright, I believe it. I would be glad to see it live. Rocks Greg! :-D Also, is it possible to see the development activity for each package? Might be something like sf.net did. We can grab how many releases made per 3 month, also take care the bugs stat, cvs commit and soo on. Or just bad idea?
